There are a vast amount of people and groups online today dedicated to bringing awareness to size acceptance. This will be a constantly growing list; please check back for updates.

The Curvy Con is without a doubt the biggest plus size conference in the U.S. It was started by two plus size blog/vloggers, Chastity Garner and CeCe Olisa. They have had a huge impact on bringing plus size fashion into the mainstream and their annual Curvy Con brings the movement all under one roof.

Dates for 2019 have yet to be released. Check back as I will be covering Curvy Con online and in person in 2019.

From their about section:

"theCURVYcon is a three day event that brings plus size Brands, Fashionistas, Shopaholics, Bloggers and YouTubers into one space, to chat curvy, shop curvy and embrace curvy. Come join us as we embrace our curves, do a little shopping, and tackle topics like confidence, fashion and style, health, fitness, dating, body positivity and everything in between!"

"Bold Media is devoted to the betterment of the plus universe, a full 67% of the US female population that has gone underserved and ignored for too long. Began in 2011, this brainchild of Dr. Christopher Salute has been transforming the plus universe through traditional media, print media, and social media. Our firm serves plus women through its media outlets, events, consulting firm, clothing line, and talent agency."

When you think of the body positive movement, it's hard not to think of plus size model Tess Holiday. She has been on the cover of magazines and social media with her hashtag #effyourbeautystandards. Being the headliner for body positivity, she has also become a big target. Throughout it all she has stayed true to her message and continues to inspire those dealing with image issues.
